OPEN DAY of ART가 올해도 다시 찾아왔습니다.
집에만 가만히 있기에는 너무 아쉬운 3월의 주말.
알록달록한 분필그림으로 골목도 예쁘게! 기분도 UP!

벽화와 길거리 아트로 지구촌의 평화와 안녕을 기원하는 <Open Day of Art 이벤트>
Open Day of Art는 2015년, 4년 째 내전이 치열하게 벌어지고 있는 아랍반도의 예멘에서 아티스트와 시민들이 총알이 박히고 포탄으로 부서진 거리의 벽에 평화를 바라는 마음으로 그림을 그리고 칠하는 “Color the Walls of Your Street” 캠페인으로 시작된 이벤트입니다.
이후 세계 곳곳의 아티스트, 시민들과 연대하여 평화의 메시지를 함께 나누고자 매년 3월 예멘, 영국, 프랑스, 소말리아 등 여러 지역에서 동시에 Open Day of Art 벽화 이벤트를 개최하고 있습니다. 한국 서울에서도 작년에 이어 올해도 함께 동참하여 이벤트를 진행합니다.
3.1만세운동 100주년, 북미정상회담, 비핵화 문제 등 한반도의 평화가 부쩍 더 간절하게 느껴지는 지금, 태극기 대신 색분필을 들고 모여볼까요?

Open Day of Art is an annual event that takes place on March 15 where people gather in the streets with their friends, families, and children to create art on the streets. The main purpose of this event is to engage the larger community in creating art that reflects their own unique ideas and identities, and to engage them with art that promotes values of peace, tolerance, and coexistence.
People from different countries, backgrounds, experiences, genders and ages are welcome to participate in this event, and no prior experience in art is needed for successful participation.
The event was first launched in March 15, 2015, three years after launching the artistic campaign “Color the Walls of Your Street”, in which artists and people gathered to paint on the streets’ walls marred by bullets and conflict bombs.
One of the main objectives of this event is creating an environment of tolerance and coexistence by connecting people from different communities and cultures at a time when war, borders, and politics are dividing them.
This year, the Open Day of Art will be taking place in Yemen, UK, France, Somalia, and Seoul, Korea at the same time.
